Rush Lake Trek

The trek begins at the Hopper village of Nagar and traverses the Hopper and Barpu glaciers to reach the entrancing Rush lake (4,694m) – highest lake of Pakistan and 25th highest in the world. A free day allows you to climb the Rush peak, above 5000m. The views of the Golden peak (Spantik), Caple’s dome and Ultar Sar are amongst the highlights of this trek.

Itinerary

Day 1Islamabad (550m)

Arrive Islamabad and transfer to the Hotel.

Day 2Islamabad - Chilas (1800m)

Drive to Chilas via Babusar Pass.
Overnight at hotel

Day 3Chilas - Karimabad (2400m)

Drive to Karimabad
Overnight at hotel

Day 4Karimabad - Hoper (2800m)

Drive to Hoper by 4WD.
Trek to Bericho Kor 4 to 5 hours.
Overnight at tent

Day 5Bericho Kor - Chidin Harai (3100m)

Trek to Chidin Harai
4 to 5 hours
Overnight at tent

Day 6Chidin Harai - Rushpari Peak (5000m)

Trek & climb to Rushphari peak (5000 meters).
Back to Rushphari Lake and trek to Phai Phari by another route.
7 to 8 hours.
Overnight at tent

Day 7Phai Phari - Hamdar (3100m)

Trek to Hamdar
4 to 5 hours.
Overnight at Tents

Day 08Hamdar - Gilgit (1800m)

Trek back to Hoper (4 to 5 hours) and continue to Karimabad by 4WD.
After lunch drive to Gilgit.
Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel

Day 09Gilgit - Besham (1400m)

Breakfast will be served at the hotel
After breakfast drive to Besham
10 – 12 hours drive.
Overnight at hotel

Day 10Besham - Islamabad (550m)

Drive to Islamabad.
7 to 8 hours.
After sightseeing, transfer to airport for the return flight
